A little of my story...

My name is Megan Higgs.  After twenty years of work related to my PhD in Statistics (academia and private consulting), I am shifting my work life to align with my current interests and passions: mediation and meditation!

Under Balancing Rock Facilitation LLC, I offer facilitative mediation as an alternative way to approach conflict and dispute resolution. I offer mediation services for a wide range of conflicts (personal, family, workplace, couples, etc.) and am happy to work online or in person.  I offer mediation in a neutral beautiful rural setting with space to walk outside during breaks.

I also offer mindfulness talks and guided mediTation sessions! Mediation and mediTation differ by the single T (which is very confusing for my communication!).  Like the spelling, they naturally fit together. On the surface, we might view them as ways of working with outer and inner conflict, though of course that turns out to be an oversimplified view of conflicts arising out of relationships with others and with ourselves.

Please reach out if you have any questions or would like to talk about whether any of my services are a good fit for your situation.  See below for more about my education and training.
